SCHOOL Uniform

It is very important that all school uniform is clearly named so that it can be returned to its rightful owner if lost.

School Uniform

School uniform is an important part of our school identity, it reinforces who we are as a community and helps the children to feel pride in their school, it also prepares them for life after school, where many will have to dress smartly for work.

Our uniform is simple and can be purchased online through the school website from our uniform provider, http://www.brigade.uk.com/     Brigade Information Leaflet  with sizing guide.

Plain polo shirts, skirts, trousers, shorts and summer dresses can be purchased from many local retailers including supermarkets.

School Uniform Policy

UNIFORM

Grey skirt, pinafore, trousers or shorts

White or red polo shirt or blouse

Red sweatshirt, cardigan or jumper

Summer dress: Checked or striped material in red and white

PE KIT

To be kept in a named shoe bag

Red or white t-shirt, black shorts, plimsolls/trainers. (Please no laces unless children are able to tie them themselves).

SHOES

Children should wear suitable, flat school shoes in black or red. No boots or trainers.

Book Bag

Children need a school book bag which they bring to school every day. The bag will contain their current reading book and reading record and any letters/communications from school.

Coats

Please ensure that your child has a coat with them at all times as the playground can be attacked by a cold wind, even in the summer months.

Jewellery

Children are not allowed to wear jewellery unless for religious reasons.  Stud ear-rings however are acceptable where piercing is recent and holes would close but they must not be worn for PE.

Pupils with additional needs

We recognise that some pupils find certain fabrics less comfortable than others and are pleased to let you know that many stores, such as Asda, now produce “Easy on Wear” which is designed specifically with sensory needs in mind. Please discuss any issues with the headteacher.

Forest School

On Forest School days, children should come to school dressed for their outdoor learning - wellington boots/sturdy walking boots, laces only if they can do them independently, waterproof coat AND trousers ideally, warm layers, hair tied back, and spare shoes to wear indoors. We cannot allow children outdoors without the appropriate clothing because it would
be neither enjoyable or safe.
