Welcome to Wyndham Park Infants' School

A place where every child matters, every talent is celebrated and learning comes alive.

Wyndham Park Infants' School is a larger-than-average infant school welcoming boys and girls from four to seven years old. We are proud to be a friendly, caring and inclusive school where children are encouraged to be curious, creative and confident learners.

As a two-form entry school, we have two classes in each year group: Reception (EYFS), Year 1 and Year 2. Our school has a capacity of 210 children, with six mainstream classrooms alongside three specialist Inclusion Base classrooms.

We are fortunate to have extensive grounds and our own Forest School area, providing children with wonderful opportunities to learn, explore and develop their confidence beyond the classroom. Our stimulating environment encourages children to discover their interests, develop new skills and make memories that will last a lifetime.

At Wyndham Park, we see ourselves as one school family. We nurture and include everyone who comes through our doors and believe that children learn best when they feel happy, safe, valued and understood.

Our dedicated Inclusion provision, led by our Inclusion Manager, ensures that children receive the support they need to thrive. We celebrate the individuality of every child and work closely with families to help each child reach their potential and play a full and active part in school life.

We believe strongly in the importance of working in partnership with parents and carers. Together, we can give children the encouragement, confidence and support they need to become lifelong learners.

Our school vision was created collaboratively by our whole school community and is at the heart of everything we do:

This vision reflects our belief that every child has something special to offer. Our teaching builds on children's individual strengths, interests and skills, providing rich and varied opportunities to deepen their knowledge and understanding.

Through engaging creative teaching and real-life learning experiences, we aim to inspire curiosity, encourage independence and develop a genuine love of learning. We want every child to leave Wyndham Park with happy memories, a sense of achievement and the strong foundations they need for the next stage of their education.

Growing together

Wyndham Park is part of Brunel Academies Trust and has worked closely with St Mark's C of E Junior School as part of our Primary Learning Collaboration since September 2019. Although we work closely together, Wyndham Park retains its own unique ethos, character and personality.

Our school shares a campus with St Mark's Pre-School, St Mark's C of E Junior School and Exeter House School, creating a wonderful community where children and families can build relationships and experience continuity throughout their early education.

We welcome children from a wide range of pre-schools across Salisbury, with over half of our pupils joining us from St Mark's Pre-School, which is based on the same site. We place great importance on making transitions smooth and positive, helping children to settle quickly and feel confident as they begin school and move through each year group.

For the vast majority of our children, their journey continues at St Mark's C of E Junior School at the end of Year 2, ready to begin Key Stage 2. Around 98% of our children transfer to St Mark's, creating a strong sense of continuity for children and families.

Wraparound care

We understand that family life can be busy, which is why we offer full wraparound care. Our Breakfast Club opens from 7.30am, with our After School Club available until 6.00pm, providing a safe, welcoming and enjoyable environment before and after the school day.
