Vision & Values

Vision, aims and values

Vision – ‘A vision is a picture of the future that produces passion.’ Bill Hybels

Our vision is to develop deep learning through everyone’s unique talents; giving each child a rainbow of learning experiences to take them through life.

Values – ‘are based on what is important to us and arise from the experience of being human’

  • Kindness - friendly, generous, considerate
  • Respect - regard for the feelings, wishes, or rights of others
  • Resilience - capacity to recover quickly from difficulties; toughness, grit
  • Teamwork - collaborative effort to achieve a common goal or to complete a task in the most effective and efficient way
  • Love - to belong to and be accepted into something bigger – friends, family, community

Behaviours  ‘the way we act or conduct ourselves, especially towards others’

  • We provide opportunities, reassurance and encouragement for all children to excel and enjoy
  • We encourage children to test their confidence, take risks and push themselves further
  • We challenge our children to grow and develop as learners and citizens
  • We promote the importance of education for improving individuals and society as a whole
  • We walk the talk, we lead by example and model everything we believe in

Goals – ‘an idea of the future or desired outcome’

  • To provide an excellent education for everyone
  • To achieve external recognition of our practice and provision and reassurance to all
  • To successfully prepare and inspire children for the next stage in their education
  • To be an emotionally healthy school – a preferred place to work and learn in
  • To achieve outstanding engagement with everyone

School aims:

  • To seek out and nurture each child’s individual strengths, skills and interests
  • To inspire and motivate children through engaging and creative teaching
  • To create a safe environment in which children are confident, resilient and able to learn from their mistakes
  • To encourage children to work co-operatively, showing kindness and respect to others
  • To provide a range of learning opportunities to allow children to deepen their knowledge and understanding through a variety of real life contexts
  • To ensure children leave Wyndham Park with a full, broad and balanced education across all areas of the curriculum
  • To give children opportunities to become responsible, honest and trustworthy young people
  • To work alongside parents, carers, SRET and the wider community to help each child grow positively
  •
