Welcome to Wyndham Park Infants’ School

It is a real privilege to welcome you to Wyndham Park Infants’ School and to be the Headteacher of a school that I am incredibly proud to be part of.

At Wyndham Park, our children are at the heart of everything we do. We believe that children learn best when they are happy, feel safe and know that they belong. We are proud to be a nurturing, inclusive and welcoming school where everybody matters, individuality is celebrated and there is always plenty of laughter.

We want our children’s first years at school to be happy, exciting and memorable. Through high-quality teaching, purposeful play, outdoor learning and a broad and ambitious curriculum, we encourage our children to become confident, curious, creative and resilient learners.

At the heart of our curriculum are our RAINBOW curriculum drivers, which reflect the experiences and opportunities we believe every child should have:

R – Rainbow of experiences – creating exciting and memorable opportunities that enrich learning
A – Aspiration – encouraging children to aim high, believe in themselves and recognise their potential
I – Imagination – inspiring creativity, curiosity and a love of learning
N – Necessary skills and knowledge – building strong foundations for learning now and in the future
B – Belonging – ensuring every child feels valued, included and part of our school family
O – Outdoor learning – making the most of our wonderful grounds and taking learning beyond the classroom
W – Wider world – helping children understand the world around them and their place within it

Our RAINBOW drivers help us to provide a curriculum that is about more than what children know. We want our children to experience, explore, question, create and discover, developing a genuine love of learning that stays with them as they move through their education.

We also know that children thrive when school and home work together. We value the relationships we build with our parents and carers and want every family to feel welcomed, listened to and part of the Wyndham Park community.

Wyndham Park Infants’ School is proud to be part of the Brunel Academies Trust along side St Mark’s C of E Junior School and Exeter House Special School. All three schools are co-located on Somerset Road to the north of Salisbury. We have up to 210 pupils between the ages of 4–7.

I hope our website gives you a flavour of what makes Wyndham Park such a special place. However, the best way to experience our school is to come and see us in action. We would be delighted to welcome you.
